Lamber Top 2 Idol Songs!
Adam Lambert’s Top 2 May 19 songs went exceedingly well! Kris Allen is not by any means an easy opponent to beat. He did appear to win round one–but in the end, it seems that Adam performed better overall. The votes will show! Here are the songs Adam and Kris performed–
(See them for free here on iTunes. After Season 8 of American Idol is over, users will be able to purchase studio recordings of the songs for around $0 .99. For Mac and PC–also studio versions are available for purchase if you like them!)
Adam Lambert’s songs:
- Personal Choice – “Mad World” (Tears for Fears)
- Simon Fuller’s Choice – “A Change is Gonna Come” (Patti LaBelle and Sam Cooke)
- Winner’s Song – “No Boundaries” (Kara Di Guardo)
Kris Allen sang these songs:
- Personal Choice – “Ain’t No Sunshine” (Bill Withers)
- Simon Fuller’s Choice – “What’s Goin’ One” (Marvin Gaye)
- Winner’s Song – “No Boundaries” (Kara Di Guardo)

i love him he is a sexy drag queen:-)
Although Mad World was good it wasn’t near as powerful as what Adam did it a few weeks back. I have to agree that Kris did win that round but in an overall comparison they aren’t in the same league. Adam could compete vocally and probably beats guys like Freddie Mercury, Robert Plant, etc, in their prime. In my opinion he may be one of the best vocal talents ever.
I was really hoping Adam would sing Bohemian Rhapsody on one of the shows as that would of really shown off his incredible vocal range. Other songs I was dying to here him sing were Creep (Radiohead), Dream On (Areosmith), or Stairway to Heaven (Zeppelin) because they are all rock classics that Lambert would put his spin on and possible make then sound better then the originals.

I love the voice…. so much…. very unique and very pleasing to the ears….
Adam is a great singer!! One song in particular, I think the first he sang on Idol, This is Black & White, absolutely great!! I cannot wait for his albums!
I don’t think it mattered what ADAM sang … it was already a foregone conclusion that KRIS was going to be the next American Idol. IMO
