On April 21, for his American Idol song, Adam Lambert sang “Can’t Have You” by the Bee Gees. He got lavish praise from all of the judges.

Get all of this week’s Idol performances (including Adam’s) here on iTunes. (You have to download iTunes the first time, and after that it will start automaticall anytime you go to the url or click through from another site.) After this week, they will be available for purchase at a low price, generally under $1). As for Adam’s, Randy summed it up when he said, “He’s a hot one tonight, America!” Well, one correction: Adam Lambert is a hot one every night on Idol.

Adam Lambert Born to Be Wild

Adam Born to Be WildAdam Lambert sang “Born to Be Wild” on American Idol tonight. I think we all know that he is definitely born to be wild. This guy is driving half of the world wild right now with performances like these.

You can get videos and mp3 studio recordings of Adam’s and the other contestants’ performances on iTunes. (Note:  iTunes works for PC and Mac–the first time you visit, you have to download the software, very easy and fast process. After that, it takes you directly to the links.)

Adam’s Mad World on American Idol

Adam’s version of “Mad World” earned him a standing ovation from Simon. And almost no words. Just pure and utter praise. From SIMON. (Download it on iTunes here–for PC or Mac.)

Of all performances so far, this seems to be the one audiences are raving about the most. There is just something special about Lambert’s performances on American Idol. Maybe he puts a lot of work into the lighting and costuming as well as the signing. (Do the contestants get involved in that?) His voice is definitely awesome–no question about that.

The Adam mania going on is pretty cool–and here’s why: he’s winning on talent.  He’s handsome, but that’s not why America is crazy about him. They love his talent and originality. It’s so exciting to watch him each week. And those high notes…his falsetto is just incredible. Can’t wait to see more!

PS. He mentioned how much he loved dressing up as a child. His father commented that Adam always loved dressing up…but sports, “not so much.”

Adam Lambert Hot and Funky Music

Adam decided to perform Wild Cherry’s “Play That Funky Music” on “American Idol.” (You can see the video and download the song here on iTunes–very low price. Works for Mac and PC.)

Funky it was. Hot it was also. The more he performs, the more obvious his talent with music becomes. He doesn’t just sing a song–he connects to the music in a way that allows him to do whatever he wants with the song, yet it comes out sounding just like he wrote it.

His funky little dance moves were quite fun to watch too.

Adam Sings Smokey Robinson

TV American Idol

Adam impresses again with “Tracks of My Tears” by Smokey Robinson. Even Mr. Robinson himself gave Lambert a standing ovation.

Listen to it on iTunes here: Lambert sings Smokey Robinson. (In my opinion, this version is better than Adam’s recorded version.)

Now, we do feel Adam looked hot during this performance (as he always does); however, he sort of resembled a mannequin. But in other moments, he resembled Kurt Russell. Not sure how he could do both in the same performance (also while wearing black onyx earrings), but that’s why we like him–he’s totally different. And his voice kicks some serious Idol butt.

Adam Lambert Kiss

There are some wild photos of Adam Lambert locked in a kiss (well, actually kisses–there’s more than one photo) with…another boy.

Surely you aren’t surprised…

The photos surfaced March 3, 2009. I say Adam himself was behind it. So far, the photos have done nothing to hurt Adam’s huge following. Or his awesome singing voice.

Or his sizzling hotness!!! We heart Adam–and we love his kisses. Kinda makes me wish I was a boy.

Adam Responds to Kissing Photos

Posted in Uncategorized on March 19th, 2009 by admin – 16 Comments

Adam Lambert is gay. He has nothing to hide and nothing to prove–it doesn’t get much more manly or irresistible than that! I love Adam’s response when asked about the photos all over the Internet in which he’s kissing boys (and a few where he’s kissing girls).

I’ll recap the dialogue. The reporter asks what Adam thinks about the recent controversy about the photos on the Internet. Adam says, “You know what…I am who I am. I have nothing to hide. This is about singing…nothing else.” Then he continues, “Yeah, I’m an entertainer. It doesn’t change anything.” The reporter asks, “But you kind of have to know that that kind of stuff is going to get out there, right?” And Adam says, “Yeah, I’ve never been shy about anything!”

But it kind of does change something. I don’t remember any other star–singer, actor, or other–who took America by storm at THIS rate while being openly gay from the get go. I mean, you have Tom Cruise who stole the hearts of young females for more than a decade (till he got way too weird) amidst rumors that he’s gay, but he even gets married to prove it’s not true. You have Ricky Martin–who fans went completely crazy over– similar to the fury Adam has stirred–who doesn’t deny it, but to my knowledge, still hasn’t admitted he’s gay (has he?). Then there are people like Elton John who are openly gay but not cute…

I don’t remember anyone being this hot and this adored by so many young ladies (and presumably young men as well:), while just saying “yeah, I am who I am”–that’s pretty brave. Quite manly of him, don’t you think?

Lambert’s Ring of Fire

Lambert performed one freaky bizarre rendition of Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire.”  Very weird (in a hot way, I mean). Adam has an uncanny way of making a song sound totally different from the original version, yet similar enough to recognize the best parts. It was hilarious to watch country legend Randy Travis react to Adam’s interpretation of the song, and Adam in general. Randy said with a perplexed look on his face, “I never heard Johnny Cash sung quite like that…” and then something about how he’d never met a man who wears black fingernail polish! Too funny.

Get Lambert’s version of the song or his video here at iTunes: Lambert sings Ring of Fire

Cara’s assessment of the performance was also funny–”It was really bizarre…but I kind of liked it.” Ha ha! I’m not sure I liked the way the song sounded–it was very original. But I sure liked watching Adam sing it!

American Idol “Black or White”

Posted in Uncategorized on March 11th, 2009 by admin – 3 Comments

Adam Lambert rocked Idol again with Michael Jackson’s “Black or White.”

Update: Great performance, though Lambert feels this was his weakest performance during his Idol run (why? it was so good!!). You can get Adam Lambert’s Black or White mp3 or video here on  iTunes.

Seriously–the word “sexy” doesn’t even begin to describe this guy. His energy, his voice, his cute little PUNK hairstyle…The whole package. He is reason enough to watch “American Idol.” Guess that’s why they keep sticking him in at the end!

Adam Lambert Idol Audition

Adam sang “Bohemian Rapsody” for his audition.

Funny, I just watched it again after viewing several of his other performances. It really doesn’t sound like any of his other performances at all! It was okay, but that magic that makes his other performances so alluring is totally missing from this audition.

Still, the judges put him through to Hollywood. He’s from Hollywood. Interesting–for him, going to Hollywood is going home. He was born to be a star. Truly.

Adam Lambert Satisfaction

adam-lambert-satisfaction

Adam Lambert did one of the best renditions of “Can’t Get No Satisfaction” ever. He’ll do many songs, but this is probably one of his early performances that people will still mention years from now. We think of it as the performance that made “Adam Lambert” a household name–though there were other good ones that preceded it.

Get it on iTunes–video or song: Adam Lambert sings Rolling Stones. If you download no other Adam Lambert performance, this is probably the one to get!
